The climate is tropical, with two main seasons: a hot and humid season from November to April, and a drier and cooler season from May to October. Temperatures vary with altitude. The best seasons to travel are the local spring and autumn.
Réunionese cuisine is a delight of spicy and fragrant flavors. Taste the cari (chicken, fish, pork), the rougail sausages (a dish made with pork sausages and tomatoes), samosas et chili fritters for appetizers, and arranged rum for digestion.
