The Queen Elizabeth National Park offers varied landscapes and the unique chance to see tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. Located on the equator, Uganda enjoys an ideal tropical climate, tempered by altitude. Temperatures are pleasant all year round (between 20 and 28°C). There are two rainy seasons:
The dry seasons (December-February and June-August) are considered the best times for safaris and treks.

Ugandan cuisine is simple and based on local products. The staple dish is Matoke, a steamed green plantain banana mash. The Rolex is the most popular street snack: it’s an omelet rolled in a chapati. You will also find meat or fish stews, often served with a peanut sauce (groundnut stew). Fresh fish, like grilled tilapia caught in Lake Victoria, is also delicious.
