The official currency is the US Dollar (USD, $). Credit card payment is almost the absolute norm. It’s often difficult to pay large sums in cash (hotels, car rentals). It’s essential to have a credit card (not debit) for many reservations. ATMs are widespread.
The inhabitants of the United States are called Americans and American women.
The most spoken language is English. Spanish is the second most spoken language, particularly in the southern and western states.
In the United States, the plugs are of type A and B. The standard voltage is 120V and the frequency is 60Hz. You will absolutely need an adapter. Also, check if your devices are compatible with 120V (dual voltage), otherwise a transformer will be needed.
