Australia is vast and full of iconic sites. In Sydney, don’t miss the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach. The Great Barrier Reef, accessible from Cairns or Port Douglas, is a must for diving and snorkeling. In the heart of the Outback, the imposing monolith of Uluru offers a majestic spectacle. Explore the Great Ocean Road near Melbourne for its spectacular cliffs, such as the Twelve Apostles. And Tasmania for its wild nature and national parks.

Australia’s climate varies considerably from one region to another. The north has a tropical climate (dry season from May to October, wet season from November to April). The south has a temperate climate with four seasons, similar to Europe, but reversed (summer from December to February, winter from June to August). The best times to visit depend on the regions.

Australian cuisine is a blend of international influences, with an emphasis on fresh produce. Try specialties such as Australian barbecue, Vegemite (a salty spread), Tim Tam (chocolate biscuit), Lamington (coconut cake) and, of course, fresh seafood. Try kangaroo or crocodile meat for a unique experience.
