Exploring the Bahamas

With more than 700 islands and cays, the Bahamas offer visitors the chance to explore a multitude of spectacular beaches, each offering breathtaking views and perfect waters for swimming and snorkeling. Its well-known capital, Nassau, is located on New Providence Island. It was founded by the English, which is why in Nassau and throughout the Bahamas, we drive on the left. The island features small, colorful houses typical of Bahamian style, giving it its charm. Contrary to what one might believe, there are numerous activities to do that will allow you to discover the Bahamas, the local culture while relaxing on postcard-perfect landscapes.

The Island of Wild Pigs

My favorite is undoubtedly the island of wild pigs!
Also known as Pig Island or Big Major Cay, it is a unique and very popular attraction in the Bahamas.
After a boat trip, you arrive at a breathtaking beach, with crystal-clear waters stretching for miles.
A unique opportunity to see animals in a beautiful natural setting.
The pigs willingly come to greet you!

Activities I recommend

Garden of the Groves

Visiting this garden is one of the most popular attractions on Freeport Island. Wander through the gardens and discover tropical plants and animals. An activity enjoyed by both young and old.

Blue Lagoon Island

On Blue Lagoon Island, you can relax on a lovely beach, see sea lions, or book an interaction with playful dolphins. To get there, a short boat ride will allow you to see the lovely celebrity homes, as well as the well-known hotel: Atlantis. You can also book a day excursion to the Aquapark there.

Port Lucaya

Port Lucaya is located on Grand Bahama Island. It is known for its picturesque marina, lively marketplace, and luxurious resorts. It's the perfect place to stroll along the beach while shopping.

My advice

After this experience, I recommend traveling to the Bahamas for a stay or a cruise rather than an excursion. This will allow you to visit several islands at once, less frequented by tourists and still retaining a bit of preserved charm, such as Bimini, for instance.
