South Africa is full of magnificent sites. Kruger National Park is an unforgettable safari experience. In Cape Town, visit Table Mountain, Robben Island and the beaches of Camps Bay. Don’t miss the Garden Route for its coastal scenery, the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek vineyards, and the Drakensberg mountains.

The climate varies greatly depending on the region. Cape Town has a Mediterranean climate with mild, rainy winters and hot, dry summers. The north-east has a subtropical climate with hot, humid summers (rainy season) and dry, sunny winters. Spring (September–November) and autumn (March–May) are generally the best seasons to travel.

South African cuisine is a blend of African, European, and Asian flavours. Try braai (barbecue), biltong (dried meat), bobotie (a spiced minced-meat dish), potjiekos (slow-cooked stews), and delicious seafood along the coast.
