What is the climate like in China?
The climate is extremely varied. The north has very cold winters and hot summers. The center (Shanghai) has four distinct seasons. The south (Guangzhou) has a subtropical, hot, and humid climate. Spring and autumn are generally the best seasons to travel.

Practical advice for your trip to China
China uses two types of power sockets. To avoid unpleasant surprises, it is essential to travel with a universal adapter.
The currency is the Yuan (CNY), also called Renminbi (RMB). Mobile payments (Alipay, WeChat Pay) are ubiquitous. International bank cards are accepted in major hotels, but it is essential to have cash for small shops.
The inhabitants are called Chinese and Chinese women.
The official language is Mandarin (Putonghua). Many dialects, such as Cantonese, are spoken. English is not common outside major tourist areas.
Type A, C, and I plugs are found. A universal adapter is highly recommended.
