What is the climate like in Norway?
The Norwegian climate is surprisingly mild on the coast due to the Gulf Stream, but more continental and cold inland and in the north. Summer (June-August) is mild and bright, ideal for hiking. Winter (December-March) is cold, snowy, perfect for winter sports and northern lights observation in the north. Spring and autumn offer magnificent colors.

Norway has the longest coastline in the world if all its fjords and islands are included, measuring over 100,000 kilometers.
The currency is the Norwegian Krone (NOK). Bank cards are ubiquitous and widely accepted, even for small amounts. Cash is increasingly less used, but it might be useful to have a little for small expenses. Mobile payments are also common.
The inhabitants are called Norwegians.
The official language is Norwegian. English is widely spoken and understood, especially in tourist areas and by the younger generations.
Type F plugs are used (European, two round pins). A universal adapter is generally not necessary if you are coming from mainland Europe.
